Life Onboard

Unique expedition cruises under German management and German speaking certified and experienced staff on the former and restored sea rescue cruiser "Gemini Explorer", which brings the guests very close to the wild nature of the partly remote Hybrid Islands.

The exact itinerary depends on the tides and weather conditions as well as spontaneously according to the wishes of the guests on board. The guests live on board in a familiar atmosphere and eat every day in the mess together with the crew.

In addition to interesting walks, there are enough folding bikes on board for the maximum of 8 passengers to get to know the towns and cultural attractions as well as nature highlights on their own.
The individual cruises can be combined with up to four journeys in succession.

The 7th night on board in Oban between the trips including full board is free of charge.

Daily Life

Unlike regular cruises, Coastal Cruises has no excursion programs. The emphasis of the Gemini Explorer's voyages is on the natural experiences and the animals of the Hebrides and Loch Ness. On individual hikes and walks or just on deck you can enjoy the magnificent landscapes and their inhabitants.

Folding bicycles are available free of charge for additional routes.
On board there are books that deal more closely and intensively with the sailing areas and the flora and fauna.
Of course the crew will be happy to assist you with further excursions.

The crew of the Gemini Explorer consists of an experienced and knowledgeable skipper who brings the guests closer to the most beautiful places of the Hebrides and Loch Ness and also tells one or the other anecdote.

The skipper is assisted by a stewardess / steward who takes care of your physical well-being and a comfortable and clean environment on board and helps the skipper on deck.
